Well i have to say that  cross country mountain biking is my preferred type of cardio.  Full body Strength, fat burning , calorie crushing , sweat pouring intensity.  WHile it can get a bit expensive to have a nice ride, its highly worth it.  it makes it much more enjoyable when your comfortable.  This morning my Friend Matt Johnson and i went for what is turning into our once to twice weekly bike ride.  Its always great when you have a partner in crime during this activity because you can get quite hurt if your not careful.  ( or even very careful as i usually happen to be)

We tend to ride at

  • England Idlewild park in Burlington Ky
  • East Fork Lake in Bethel/tate, whatever area of OH. lol
  • Tower park in Ft Thomas Ky  ( scratch that ill never go there again…)
  • DEVOU PARK in Kenton Co KY.  this will e one of the best muslti use trails in the Greater Cincy area when its done.  Special Thanks to Chad Irey  for pushing this project into fruition.  more on this later…
  • Around LAtonia Ky for quick cardio and great sociological benefits……
  • Versailles IN
  • Brown Co, IN   BEST PLACE IVE BEEN TO. about 2.5 hours from cincy. great day trip.

Not a mountain bike but just as cool my beautiful wife riding with me to the beach in Hilton Head on her Cruiser.

I have to be upfront and tell people this is where i got my legs for bodybuilding !

Id love to type something everyday but frankly im sure most of you would be a little bored hearing of my daily goings on.  So in the last few days heres a recap of what may go down in the world of Daniels Fitness.

Todays Training     Easter Sunday  

Kettlebell Snatches w 52.3 lb bell.  and foam rolling

warmup.    then Ladder style with 1-5 reps .   one  on each side then 2 on each side then 3, then 4, then 5 .  so total of 15 reps each side with out stoppping.

2 sets of ladders to 5  

1 set ladders 2-6

2 sets ladders 3-8

felt amazing as i left the gym. really have my form down  with the snatches.  im gonna work this way up the ladders until i can  perform snatches for 10 minutes straight.   endurance, coordination, mental toughness, technique, strength, and functional power  is what im gaining from this exercise.
